I was making a hotel booking on line in a hurry during my lunchbreak and ended up booking the wrong hotel. As soon as the confirmation email came through I realised my mistake and quickly called Hotels Direct to see if I could change the booking. The person I spoke to was extremely understanding and cancelled the booking I had made in error. I was able to book the hotel I actually wanted through him and just to pay the difference, as the hotel I wanted was a little more expensive. He said I wouldn't have to pay the cancellation fee as I had only just made the booking.
