Bought a Canon EF 100mm 1:2.8 L IS USM for £696, quite a bit cheaper than anyhwere in UK. The order was processed and despatched very quickly/immediately. It was as described and arrived with all accessories and in perfect condition, withing 2 days!!!! From Hong Kong!!!! to UK.
The only cheaper one I could find was with Simply Electronics, but I couldn't find anything on their site about express delivery or VAT/Duty refund guarantee. But just in case anyone is wavering between Onestop and Simply Electronics, it's worth pointing out I bought a Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens from Simply Electronics before Christmas and that arrived within 10 days, was very cheap and arrived as described.
It's also worth pointing out that although Onestop offer a pricematch guarantee, they wouldn't match Simply Electronics £27 cheaper price, quoting their bad reputation as a disqualifier, which I thought was weird.
But Onestop are cheap, they are very quick and they do offer that customs/duty guarantee. Oh, and BTW, the lens is brilliant.
I ordered a Canon EFS 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens late on 25th November 2009, the lens arrived today six effective working days later, six due to the late nature of the order on 25th. I paid £379.95 including all taxes and delivery for a lens that is listed on canon website at £699.99 and the cheapest I could find it elsewhere was £419 at T4 Cameras or £447 at Jacobs and £498 at Jessops.
I was nervous about giving a Hong Kong based company my money, and didn’t actually come to this review site until my delivery hadn’t arrived after four days and I got a bit panicky. But I emailed them “Was wondering where this lens is – it says on your site you have 9 in stock ready for same or next day delivery, but I’ve heard nothing in nearly a week. I presume you’ve debited my card?” and they were quick to reassure me, giving what was probably a quite stock response:

So, the lens arrived today, new, boxed, correctly sealed and in perfect working order, and I saved a packet.
My take on Simply Electronics, from my one experience so far, is, they are a Hong Kong based company who source their stuff cheaper than UK based companies, and they get a lot of orders, and they fulfil them as quickly as they can on a first come first served basis, and if you’re prepared to hang tight, you’ll get your stuff eventually, sometimes maybe after 2 or 3 days (based on other reviews) or sometime a bit longer, like 6 working days in my instance. But I’m delighted with the saving.
