Ok until you have a problem

Competive pricing and good websites mean nothing when you have a problem with an item purchased from Scan. Long story short, external hard drive failed 8 months into ownership, Scan claimed had nothing to do with them, speak to manufacturer, which I know is wrong (Buffalo confirmed this). After I got that sorted and they finally agreed to accepting the unit back they tested the item which proved faulty. This was a false dawn, not only are they refusing to replace it, they have the balls to offer £33+vat as compensation, for an item which cost double that!!! Lost my patience with these clowns, off to Trading Standards I go.

Thank you for the feedback. To confirm the Market Value refund takes into account the benefit of use.

The legislation is benefit of use, per the Sales of goods act, 1979, as amended.
