I odered tyres online to match tyres already on my vehicle. They fitted a different tyre without mentioning that they didn't have the tyre I ordered. They charged me for nitrogen fill in all 4 tyres which wasn't requested or ordered. They also said tracking needed adjustment and charged me over £30 for something they did in 5 minutes. The price of the tyres was the going rate but overall value still has to be POOR. An email of complaint to ATS HQ only got a poor emailed response from ATS Penzance which didn't tackle any of the points I had raised. ATS doesn't seem to be an honest company.
I applied for a loan via Zopa and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how straightforward the application process was. The rate was about half that which I was quoted by my bank and the load was approved in under 24 hours with the money in my bank 2 days after that. Based on my personal experience, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Zopa to others. I like the idea of cutting out the banks and using a peer to peer service too, although this was secondary to the fact that they offered the best rate I could get.
I was mis-sold tickets on the Southern Railway web site for a total of £211 (I searched for "open return" tickets but was recommended "day return" tickets that were not suitable for my journey).
No problem... Southern Railway operates a Money Back Guarantee so that instances like this can be resolved.
However:
1. I applied for a refund via their web site in late December.
2. I sent off the tickets and refund claim form on 28 December and they were received on 2 January (presumably due to weekends and the Christmas break).
3. It's now 30 January and despite 3 emails to their customer services, the refund has not been processed. They've had 28 days to process the refund and during that time I've been £211 out of pocket. It really isn't difficult to refund money back to a card and there's no excuse for this delay.
Seems like they just take your money and earn interest on it for as long as they can. I don't appreciate having to chase my refund in this way, and for a major company to treat its customers this way is extremely poor.
I will not be buying train tickets from Southern Railway again.
Kenable offer a large range with good prices. 2 out of the 3 items I ordered have arrived in good time but I'm still waiting for the third and kenable have given no advice of when I might receive it. There was no indication that the item was out of stock at the time of ordering; typically, this was the item I needed most.
I ordered over £220 of printer supplies on a 10 day service (which I thought should give them plenty of time!). The goods didn't arrive on day 11, so I gave them a call and they said my order had been overlooked, but they had stock and they could send it. Thinking all was now well, I looked forward to the imminent arrival of my order, but it's now 25 days since my order, no reply to phone message to chase, no reply to email chasing (sent last week) and seemingly no nearer getting the product. I have instructed that the order is cancelled. I have now purchased elsewhere and got the products next day.
I've had 2 good experiences with DPD. Both times I was sent an SMS message telling me when my delivery would be - within a 1 hour time frame - and both times they delivered on time. They're the only courier company I've used who have been able to do this so I can't fault them really.
Giffgaff looks good on paper, but as soon as something goes wrong, you may as well be on your own because their customer service is useless. It doesn't matter what quetion you ask, they come back with some kind of prepared stock answer that's inapproriate to what you asked. You can't phone up, you can only deal with them through an unreliable web based system. Even sending a message to them results in a web error message.
Their web system is bug ridden and has twice left me without being able to use my phone because of one problem or another. I work in IT and if the systems I developed were this poor, I'd be sacked. It all feels like it's held together with string and cellotape. You can't even auto-renew your package... you have to log on each month and order it again. In short... useless, unless you like spending (at least) an hour each month trying to buy a "Goody Bag".
