I have shopped online for three/four years with Debenhams with little problems. But placed 2 orders over Christmas and into the new year. The first turned up 2 weeks late the 2nd has been a nightmare. Got fed up with waiting so tried to cancel by phone - on 3 separate occasions was told three different answers and they would not cancel, had taken the money of which I had paid my credit card bill and still no goods. Emailed Complaints department on 13.1.12 and ordered them to cancel the Order and Refund me. This they emailed back saying apologies etc etc and they had refunded me and cancelled order. Yet on 14.1.12 item was then despatched to me. Telephoned again and was told not to accept item as it was to be Refunded. If Refund was not on my account by Thursday 19th Jan 2012 then to ring them. Sure I refused to accept the parcel as agreed. Then Thursday came and no refund. Rang Customer Services and was told it takes 2 weeks for a refund and would have to wait not until 2 weeks after parcel returned and not to expect a refund till 28 January 2012 - I could write a book on this Company. The phone calls have been numerous, together with three emails. I WILL NEVER EVER SHOP WITH DEBENHAMS AGAIN - THEY ARE USELESS BEYOND WORDS.. No apology for inconvenience - bet M & S and John Lewis would not treat there Customers like this!!!
