I booked a hotel in Spain and got my confirmation. But 3 months later the hotel wrote me-after I sent a reminder, furtunately!-that they are sorry, but they did not agree to this reservation. Because: I was booking too early!!!! Of course I was early, bcs. to my date there is the big annual festival in Seville, and if you are late, you have no chance to get any room.
The real reason: this hotel forgot to change the prices in time-bcs. for the festival period they charge the doubble!
I informed hostelbookers.com about this outrage. With the result:
"they have no influence if the hotel is not respondig"....they are sorry!
I got no other hotel from hostelbookers as replacement, not even a suggestion!!-and since I heared nothing from them. I had to search for a room by my self. And as late as it was, I had to book one for the dubble price!!!!-bcs. I could not change my flight any more.
I ask you now-why booking with hostelbookers, if they have "no influence" on their clients??? Imagine: I would arrive there at midnight, not knowing that I have no room.... if I did not send the reminder in time. What is absolutely not my obligation after I got a confirmation and the down payment was drawn from my Credit Card.
I never had such outrageous experience with an other booking company in my life!
