I ordered my phone and contract a week ago and was expecting next-day delivery. It took them two days to tell me they needed to see some proof of address (eg bank statement, utility bill etc), "because our security systems have been unable to verify several of the details you provided".
I emailed this to them, as instructed, an hour or so later. It then took another two days to receive an email saying that my proof-of-address was satisfactory, and that a further email would be forthcoming, confirming the dispatch of my handset.
Now another three days have passed, no confirmation email yet. I am getting impatient now - it's been a week since my original order. If I had known it would take this long I'd have ordered from a high-street-store and gladly paid a little more to actually walk away with a handset.
I will write a follow-up review if and when my handset ever arrives...
Update -- I sent an email to buymobilephones.net, saying that if they were not able to deliver my handset soon then I would cancel my order. I'm not sure if the timing was just a coincidence, but later that day I received a reply, apologising (and citing stock issues), and shortly aftwards my order had been processed and the handset dispatched.
I have now upgraded my rating to 3 stars, as my handset did arrive (9 days after ordering) and seems to be in good order (box had been opened, similar to many other reviewers' experiences, presumably for "quality control"). No complaints, in the process of porting my old number to the new network.
All's well that ends well, as they say.
I had an excellent experience with dv247 and would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.
1) great price - I couldn't find the product offered cheaper anywhere else on the web.
2) excellent correspondance via email - they kept me up to date from order confirmation, through payment, shipping and delivery.
3) no problems with delivery - the product was delivered the next day in perfect condition. The only minor issue -- which is really with the courier company, not dv247 -- was that on the morning of delivery I received a text offering me the option of rescheduling the delivery for another day. I chose to do this because I didn't think anyone would be at home to receive it. Another text then confirmed that delivery had been rescheduled when in fact the driver had already delivered it (left it with a neighbour, as per my initial instructions). No problem, just a bit of timing/communication issue.
Super fast and reliable delivery, great range of products, and competitive prices. I have used DevilWear twice and each time the item was shipped immediately, arriving the next day. It was packed well and delivered undamaged. The emails to keep you updated on the progress of your order are helpful. I would use DevilWear again without hesitation. Great job, DevilWear!
