About the Newegg policy to return defective products bough at and from Newegg:
“No, Newegg does not pay the return shipping cost for defective merchandise. We are not responsible for product defects, because we do not manufacture the products we carry. However, if you pay to send the item back to Newegg, we will replace the item and ship the replacement to you at no charge. Newegg will employ every resource it has to ensure that your item is replaced promptly, without hassle.”
The assertion and argument that Newegg is not responsible for defective products seems ludicrous at best and certainly undermine and demise the critical mass of its customer base. Newegg is responsible for any defective product that it sells directly to the customer: since I did not buy the item from the manufacturer, the purchase and acquisition process took place between the buyer and Newegg, therefore Newegg is fully responsible for any issue that the product may have upon arrival. A defective item due to manufacturer process or product handling that is present in any item stocked by Newegg is a problem between Newegg and its suppliers, the buyer has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with it.
