Microdirect do not buy avoid like the plague

Microdirect went bust June 2011, the trading name was bought out by Dormir UK Ltd.

Microdirect still have the same company name Microdirect, same website www.microdirect.co.uk, operate from the same premises & employ the same staff.

Microdirect is essentially the same company, however Microdirect will not honour the warranty of any product purchased from before Microdirect went bust.

Also Microdirect offer absolutely no help to their existing customers in getting the warranty honoured by the manufacturer.

Since Microdirect went bust and Dormir UK Ltd continued to trade under the Microdirect name, prices have become more expensive and the range of products Microdirect stock has decreased.

Even before Microdirect went bust, I received a disproportionate number of products that were DOA (dead on arrival) or second hand even though Microdirect sold them as new.

This is not the first time that Microdirect have gone bust or been close to going bust, unfortunately based on the past history of Microdirect and current business practices of Microdirect it would be ill advised to deal in any way with this company.

In summary: Sh*t customer service, expensive, do not honour warranty.
