Booked on Tuesday for a Next Day service to be picked up Wednesday for an eBay item which had to be in Peterborough by Friday. The courier was Yodel through P2G. Wednesday came and went, but no Yodel. Got onto P2G. All they have is a useless automated response service called 'Livechat'. The only thing you are 'chatting' to is a series of canned responses. Eventually, I was offered a rebook, so I stupidly agreed to give it another shot. Thursday came and went, no Yodel. I went back on 'Livechat' Thursday night. They offered to rebook. 'No thank you unless you can offer Same Day at no extra cost to me', said I, 'You are in breach of contract and I would like a refund.' They then said that they would forward my request for consideration. Oh really? We'll see if Trading Standards beckons soon. I then received a confirmation that my request for a refund had been received.
The following morning I took the package to the PO and sent it Parcelforce. Lunchtime, a wee man from Yodel turns up looking for a package. I told him it had been cancelled last night after they had failed to turn up twice. I asked him when he had received the paperwork. he said it had arrived only that morning!
