I ordered clothes for £100 on the 3rd of December for the Christmas period. As i did not request them to be sent the following day I waited some days until I sent any correspondance to Boohoo complaining that the items hand't arrive. it was christmas period and we all know that deliveries and the mail is a bit crazy during those days.
On the 12th Dec I checked the order with the delivery company to find out that it was already delivered. Emailed boohoo several times and it was only after i mentioned that if they did not reply i would contact trading standards, consumer direct and watchdog, It was then when I got a reply asking me to check with my neighbours and if they did not have my parcel to tell me the color of my front door to check with the courier where the shipment went. They have opened a case with the courier company and told me that the investigation would take 14 to 28 days. I have been out of pocket £100 for now 2 months, havent heard anything back from them and I still do not understand why if they can't rely on the delivery company they use I have to be the one suffering the consequences of their bad choice. Boohoo should be refunding what i paid for items that I was going to use in Christmas and if then take whatever money they get as compensation from their courier. boohoo has no idea of how to deal with their clients!
