Online I ordered some more dining chairs to match the M&S chairs I currently own. I ordered online and ordered the same name as the ones I previously ordered. The description was the same and they looked the same. However unknown to me they changed the fabric used and when they were delivered did not match the ones I had originally bought. While the delivery guys were still there I spoke to the customer service department and said I wanted to refund them. They said I would have to pay £100 to cancel the order. The 2 chairs ordered only cost £199. Apparantely all furniture is made to order and can not be cancelled without a charge. I said that surely under the distance selling act the consumer had rights and you could take items back. I even offered to take the chairs back to a store myself but was told that I couldn't do that. Eventually they reduced the charge to £50. I think this is totally out of order and will never buy anything from them again - even a sandwich - they have lost a good customer for good over £50. Please advise anyone you know not to buy goods online. I learnt the hard way.
