A TOTALLY, TOTALLY CRAP COMPANY!
My wife ordered a watch on-line as a birthday present for our son - the delivery quoted on their web-site was 3-4 days. After waiting 5 days (and now very close to the birthday) I emailed Debenhams Customer Service. 'Eventually' received a response telling us that "Because of the Christmas demand (it was now January), delivery will be made in approx 10 days". Our Son's birthday arrived - but as the watch hadn't arrived we had to go and buy another one for him!
I wrote to the Chief Executive complaining about the poor level of service and have still not received any response from him (its now February).!!!!!!!!!
The watch eventually arrived 12 days late and........ it arrived packed loose in a very large plastic bag!! Goodness only knows what state the watch was in after being battered in transit!
My wife took the watch back to Debenhams at Merry Hill and was told that as the watch had to be sent back to their central depot, she wouldn't receive a refund on her Credit Card for approximately 1 month - still haven't received the refund!. I do not understand why, as the watch had been taken back to a Debenhams store, a refund could not have been made there and then?
I emailed customer services again and eventually received a totally meaningless reply.
Debenhams should wake up to the fact that Customers are fed up with being treated like the 'brown stuff' on the bottom of their shoes!
We will NEVER SHOP AT DEBENHAMS AGAIN!
