I bought a Blu-Ray as part of their post-Christmas sale. They were understandably closed until December 28th, but they then processed the order and shipped it that day. It arrived the day after, sent Royal Mail First Class. They're UK-based so they're much quicker than most sites for delivery.
They provided a very good service and a great price. I'll certainly be shopping with them again.
Misco is a good site. Every order I have placed was fulfilled to my expectations. I can't criticize their customer service or delivery, both of which have been excellent.
My only criticisms are that their stock selection doesn't appear to be as big as some of their competitors and their prices aren't often as competitive.
I've bought many items from eBuyer over the years and have had no problems with them at all. Their product selection is large, their prices very competitive and their dispatch is often very quick.
My only criticism is the delivery charges, which can be excessive and less impressive than their competitors' rates.
CD Wow is alright when everything works. They're perhaps slower than most at shipping and delivery, but given products typically come from Hong Kong that might be excused.
The trouble with CD Wow comes from orders they don't fulfill, a frightening amount in my experience. I have ordered items that they quite clearly said were in stock, only to be told they weren't and they didn't have any clue if/when they'd get more stock. One then has to wait for a refund, while they hold the money. I no longer trust the stock information on the site, and won't order from them as I know I might be given the runaround.
HMV.com is often very quicky at dispatching items. Where its competitors often take a day or two, HMV usually has my orders shipped within a few hours. On the rare times I've had to contact their customer service, they've always been very good.
Much like their stores, their prices aren't always the most competitive. It is worth shopping around, but HMV.com is certainly a good place to be ordering from.
When an order with SelectCheaper actually works, it's a borderline acceptable experience. They're slower than most at dispatching orders, but it's otherwise a typical experience.
However, they quite often offer prices that turn out to be too good to be true. I've placed orders which they seemingly had no intention of ever fulfilling. I've had to chase up the orders weeks later, only to be told that they no longer have stock or have canceled the order. A terrible shopping experience from a company who seem to do this quite often.
When I see a product I want at a low price on SelectCheaper, I now know to stay well enough away.
The product selection and prices at ShopTo.net are great. They are quick to dispatch orders and they arrive very quickly. Even their free recorded delivery tends to arrive next day.
That they accept PayPal and have forums to discuss their products (and even their competitors) is an added plus. It really is a pleasure to buy from ShopTo.
The items' prices were very competitive, along with free delivery (rare for many tech sites), MyMemory were the best priced retailer by a country mile.
Their service was excellent. Items were promptly dispatched the next working day (I'd ordered after close of business). Although it wasn't promised or expected, the items were delivered before Christmas.
Their acceptance of PayPal for payment makes them an even better choice for those who prefer not to use their credit/debit cards.
Tesco Direct were quick to process and dispatch the order. It arrived via HDNL on the promised day, packed well enough. Tesco were very competitive on price, over £5 cheaper than their competitors. Everything worked as promised, so I'd have no qualms about using Tesco Direct again.
The only slight letdowns were the lack of tracking information provided and the £5 delivery charge. The delivery charge could be a bit steep on some orders, but the total cost did still come in well under its nearest competitor.
