I cannot fault my recent set of prints. I ordered them as a free postage-only deal to test the quality and could not have been more pleased. Even custom-cropped images were no problem, faithfully reproduced and cut to irregular sizes. I would not hesitate to use Photoworld again.
I have dealt with The Book People for years, impressed by their range of titles, low prices and efficient dispatch. It is only in the last few days, however, that I have come to appreciate the quality of their customer service. They sent me a parcel through the YODEL delivery company (If you don't know of them, just take a look at their feedback on this site) which was two weeks in transit then delivered to someone in Edinburgh - while I continued to wait for it in Leicester! The Book People staff have pursued YODEL about the original parcel, but have also sent replacement copies via Parcel Force, with a request that I give the duplicates to a charity of my choice if YODEL ever do come up with the goods. Their pleasant, informative e-mails and prompt attention have set them apart from some of the other companies I deal with and have made me feel like a valued customer.
This site has saved me POUNDS! I have followed their advice about changing utility companies, challenging other firms' charges, chasing up lost Tesco vouchers, claiming compensation for flight delays, etc etc. Just one phone call to the AA cut my subscription by 50%.
Delivery from my book company usually takes two days - until they began to use YODEL. I have now been waiting for two WEEKS. I am reluctant to give them even one star.Tracking indicates that the parcel has been loaded onto the delivery van 6 times, but each time has been returned to the depot. Two e-mail enquiries went unanswered, necessitating a phone call during which the YODEL employee was very rude. Her explanation was that my property was 'inaccessible' (although it is actually directly accessed from the pavement), so I gave her my phone number so that the driver could ring if he had any problems. She promised to pass the number on and see that the parcel was put on the van on Monday. It is now Tuesday afternoon and I am still waiting. One of my expected titles was 'Teach yourself Italian' : I think I could have been fluent by now!
UPDATE:Two days further on, my Leicester-bound parcel HAS been delivered - to Edinburgh! YODEL can't tell me why because the address on it has been amended and is no longer mine, and even to discuss it with me would be to breach data protection guidelines.I am waiting for a supervisor to phone me back....
