The returns service is absolutely shocking... After reading many of the reviews on this site I completely understand many peoples' frustration.
I returned my Ugg boots using the Returns system with the Royal Mail the very same day they were delivered to me as they were too big.
I heard absolutely nothing from Cloggs and tried to contact them several times about the item only to be told I must wait for my package to be missing for 14 days before they could do anything about it! It seems I will now have to go through the lengthy process of sending them my proof of mailing receipt in order to process what will surely be a refund and not an exchange.
My advice would be to use a well trusted and equipped store such as Schuh where you can guarantee good customer service and not being clearly lied to like myself and many others who have written similar reviews whilst they deny ever receiving the package.
