Product quality in various shipments of same part number differed greatly and the credit process got out of hand and very confusing. By the time it was all complete it was a nightmare to marry up invoices and credit notes and agree a figure owed to pay.

Further to your comments left on the web regarding our service, I would like to respond by saying that there was indeed a discrepancy with the length of the cables, however this is due to the manufacturing process of 0.3m fibre optic patch leads, which have a manufacturing tolerance of 10% either way.
As your project was on very tight timescales and there was not enough time to manufacture new leads before the first shipment was required, Universal suggested a work around by supplying 0.5m patch leads which are more consistent in length. Universal rose to the challenge and delivered the replacement 0.5m leads on time and at no extra cost to your company.
Due to the urgency of your contract, we had to source the cables from multiple sources to meet your very tight timescales. A number of the patch leads were also opened and therefore we had to tally those that had been used and those that had been returned unopened, which admittedly was a difficult task and did make invoicing a lot more complicated.
