Stove Fitter's Warehouse

The best flue products from the best source of installation advice

I was very glad to come across The Stove Fitter's Manual - a fount of clear and uncomplicated advice for the DIY stove installer- and even more pleased to discover that his linked store sells pretty well everything you need to get the job done. Prices are competitive and service is fast, with goods arriving well packaged and protected. The SFM and store will always be my first port of call if and when I ever need to install another woodburner - and I recommend them to anyone I meet in a similar situation. Thanks Julian and keep up the good work.

Simply Hike

Great range of products delivered with impressive speed and excellent email follow-up

What can I say? Looking for some breathable overtrousers it seemed that Berghaus' Deluge got the best reviews on outdoor forums so I searched for a supplier at the best price and that was Simply Hike. Not only was their price the best but their delivery and follow-up communication has been excellent - the latter almost too good. I will certainly be using them again.


Great prices on easy-to-use website and good communications

Ordered an OSO 150L indirect unvented DHW cylinder from Plumbnation and was pleased with the price and delivery arrangements - although I did have to email to get a more precise delivery window.

When the cylinder arrived, delivered locally by Plumbing Trade Supplies of Cromer, I asked the driver if he was sure it was the right one, as there was nothing on the box about it being indirect. He referred to the paperwork and said it was definitely the right one. After he had gone I did some digging on OSO's website with the model number on the carton and found it was a 210L direct model - so completely wrong!

I called Plumbnation and a very efficient woman got straight on to it and within minutes I'd had a call from PTS apologising and saying the correct cylinder would be with me in half an hour. It turned out to be an hour, as the driver, who was duly apologetic, said he'd got stuck behind a tractor or something. No big deal as the cylinder wasn't being installed that day. Driver said he'd just grabbed the first of two cylinders out for delivery without checking properly.

So, full marks to Plumbnation for sorting out a mixup quickly and slap on the wrist for PTS for not checking goods against paperwork properly. Plumbnation rang back later in the day to check that all was well, too. Four stars instead of five solely due to dodgy fulfilment arrangements! Otherwise very happy with product which my plumber found simple to install as it's largely pre-plumbed, saving him time and us money.

Ordered an Aqualisa Midas 100 deck-mounted bath/shower mixer from Plumbworld - including free cotton bath towel! Arrived very quickly and received numerous emails advising that it had been despatched, checking it had arrived safely and even a week later another email checking I was happy with Plumbworld's service. All in all a very professional service that other online retailers would do well to try and emulate.

Excellent value-for money service; recipient delighted

This is a truly first-class service. The only thing that could be improved would be some clarification on the confirmation email concerning delivery date. When I placed my order I opted for free same-day delivery. I had to go into the live chat to get an explanation of the three delivery types beforehand, however, so that could be made clearer on the checkout page. When the order confirmation email arrived, instead of specifying the date I ordered for delivery, it merely said 'week commencing' said date. As it was vital for the flowers to arrive same day, I had to raise a support ticket. But by the time that was answered (quickly) I had already received an automated notification that the order had been allocated to a local florist and would indeed be delivered the same day. It was very good to receive another email later in the day confirming that the order had been delivered. The recipient said the flowers were beautiful - result. All in all a very satisfactory experience, marred only by those two admin glitches, which I am sure would be easy to eliminate.
