Discraceful Shameful

What no cheques! I went to buy £48.00 worth of paints, only to be told once I had made a specific journey,to the Durham Store, and waited in a queue ''argh, sorry no cheques'' I am sorry, at what point did cheques NOT become acceptable??? OK some 'sleeeeezy' corner shop perhaps I could understand why but Halfords, when in the main the prices are sky high to start with, you really would not think they would preclude an acceptable payment method.... After all I had a cheque garentee card way above the amount I was purchasing…. I AM SO ANNOYED What a waste of my time, not to say fuel etc… DISGRACEFUL.
