If you value your sanity, avoid this company. I was advised that the windows would take 3 to 4 weeks to arrive, in actuality, they took about 3 months, causing much stress and delay to my building project. I believe that only after many phone calls to the company, did I receive the windows when I did, otherwise I would probably still be waiting.
The windows, when they did arrive, are fair quality for the price, but in hindsight, I wish I had found another company with a customer service ethos rather than these cowboys. I would have been prepared to pay more, rather than have the hassle I've had with MWG.
I still have a few items to be resolved with the windows, but all attempts to get these fixed have so far failed. If I do get resolution, I'll be sure to update this review, but it's not looking good so far.
In summary, although the prices are reasonable, you are better off going elsewhere (assuming other window companies are any better) if you have a schedule you'd like to stick to.
I bought a TV cabinet from Furniture Point as the web-site promised fast delivery. My expectations were that I would receive the cabinet within a week. I ordered on the 11th February and received it on 29th February, which is a reasonable delivery time, but not what I would call "Fast Delivery". I guess the web-site should set people's expectations and then they would have happier customers. The cabinet is of reasonable quality and in my opinion, good value for money.
I did call/email twice to find out when I might receive the goods. I received a phone call advising me when the goods would arrive. The delivery men also phoned giving me an hour's notice of delivery.
I've used Trailfinders for over 10 years and always find them helpful. Price-wise I find that if I book flights and hotels with them, the price is often better than I could get myself booking independently via an airline's website and, for example, hotels.com.
Once they made a mistake with some eTickets, but they rectified the problem and refunded my extra costs without hassle. This is much more than I can say for another company I made the mistake of trying (The Flight Centre), but that's another story.
Often, you only find out how good a company is when they have made a mistake. How they deal with the problem tells more about how they treat customers than when everything goes to plan.
This year I have booked my holiday with Trailfinders again. They are always a pleasure to deal with and long may they stay that way.
Reliable and a great company to deal with. You only really find out about how good a company is when things go wrong. With Amazon, they always sort problems out quickly and efficiently. For example, some goods arrived damaged. I requested a partial refund so I could repair the goods. Partial refund received within days. Very pleased. I use them to buy so many items and have confidence that it will arrive quickly. Their prices are reasonable too.
Over a period of 6 months, from an initial deposit of £30, I won £400. I requested a withdrawal and that was when the trouble started. They passed me from pillar to post and in the end, wouldn't pay out.
First of all, if you are a UK purchaser, then as the goods come from Hong Kong, you'll need to pay customs duty. This means that the deal is not quite as good as you might have thought, in fact you might be better off getting the branded goods instead.
Secondly, the goods are of only mediocre quality once you do receive them. Note that this can take some time, unless you pay for expedited delivery. I left some less than complimentary (but factual) reviews. These have been deleted. So the on-site reviews of the products are complimentary, so you think you will get a good deal. Of the seven products I ordered, only the Wii Wheels are reasonable. The Wii Remote MotionPlus' are poor and the quad recharger is dire. I have to fiddle around for ages with the USB cable to get it to make a connection.
In hindsight, I wish I'd bought from Amazon or eBay where the reviews are honest and delivery time is reasonable, without customs duty.
