The SAA made my day!
I am delighted with the SAA. Right from the start after becoming a member I have enjoyed being a part of a big group of artist friends who can be called on to help sort out any arty problem!
The modest subscription more than covers all the benefits - six quality art magazines a year, free insurance at exhibitions, lots of competitions to enter and maybe best of all, a whole range of art materials at bargain prices. You can order by post, phone or online. Delivery is very prompt, sometimes the next day.
If you do anything with art - join the SAA!
Asda
Asda - failure at the fish counter!
I use Asda Bilton East Yorkshire because it is the nearest supermarket to my home.
However, two weeks ago I was unable to buy from the fish counter as it was not open, and this at about 8.30 a.m.on a Tuesday. On enquiry, the reason was given as 'staff shortages' - the old excuse.
Yesterday I saw a TV advert specifically pushing Asda's fish retailing.
It would be better if they concentrated on actually getting their fish counters up and running for customers rather than spending £££s on adverts.
Yesterday, Easter Monday, again at the fish counter, which WAS set up for business, I was told that they were understaffed which was why I had a long wait. Surely a company the size of Asda should have a reserve of staff on their books upon whom they can call if regular staff are away/ill/let them down?
I felt like standing in the middle of the store and shouting "Morrisons for Ever!"

I ordered Hill's C/D cat food (two sorts), which arrived on Monday, having been ordered on the previous Saturday.
The food was very well packaged.
I found the website easy to use and the price most competitive.
