The nightfreight driver will only deliver what has arrived at his depot to go on his round that day so if you have anything missing from your delivery 9 out of 10 times its the company you bought them off thats in the wrong also a lot of companies text or email to let you know you will be getting a phone call yet they dont provide a phone number to nightfreight so how can the driver phone you? Drivers arent insured to enter premises and its just a door to door service they offer...Most Nightfreight depots are open monday to friday 24hrs but only open saturday for saturday only premium deliveries so there are probably no office staff from around 12'ish (hence security guard may answer) They arent the biggest parcel company around but still handle thousands of consignments everyday so its likely there will be instances of damage and due to the economic climate more parcels have to go onto fewer vans due to cut backs so not all the drivers will want to wait while parcels are checked even though i think there is a 10min per deliver allowed as they are soo busy so sign your item as damaged unchecked if your not sure...majority of problems are caused by tyring to cut costs across the board for example not replacing staff sometimes when people leave to keep costs down which can impact on service from the warehouse staff and drivers through to the office staff
