Don't bother ordering from this site as your order will just be cancelled with no explanation from the company

I had heard bad reports about thehut.com but I thought that I would give the site the benefit of the doubt, as the prices were too good to turn down.

I ordered a pair of sunglasses and received the confirmation email. A few days passed and I had not received a dispatch email. I logged in to thehut to see that my order had been cancelled against my wishes without any acknowledgment by thehut. I sent an email to enquire why and it took over a week for them to reply that they could not get the stock from their supplier. The hut are just middlemen between the supplier and they operate out of Guernsey for tax reasons.

Today I gave them the benefit of the doubt and ordered a pair of trainers. Once again I received the confirmation email. Tonight I went to show my girlfriend my latest purchase, only to see once again:

They don't even send an email to let you know that your order has been cancelled. If you wish to buy a birthday present don't buy from this site as they are likely to be in a box in the ground before it turns up!

The prices are too good to be true and my mum always told me if something's too good to be true...?
