I needed some alloy wheels collecting from Wales. After a quick search of couriers I placed an order to have 4 commercial wheels and tyres collected with Wheelcourier.com.
This company then used City-Link to deliver the consignment up to Manchester. Excluding the weekend its taken about 3 days to get my stuff using a third Party.
As a former courier for ParcelForce myself, I realise how busy drivers and depots can be and unless you pay a premium price to have a timed delivery, people should just chill out a bit.
I cannot complain about either of the two companies mentioned above, both of whom appear to have come under fire for poor service. I'm happy with the service. The van driver was sound enough. His van was neatly stacked and my goods arrived exactly how they had been packaged by the sender.
Also received a follow up call from City-Link to make sure everthing was in order.
Patience is a virtue.
Browsing through the web pages of the internet for a local supplier of paraffin (I live in thr Greater Manchester region), I came across Dry It Out Ltd. The product I wanted seemed realistically priced but just has I was about to place an order, I noticed they were located in Powys, some 108 miles away. Then I noticed the following statement:
ALL prices shown on our website INCLUDE VAT and NEXT WORKING DAY delivery by courier to a UK mainland address if ordered by 4pm the previous working day. The price you see on the site is the total you will pay delivered to your door.
Without further ado I made my order at approxamately 15:00hrs and received my goods the very next day. Now thats what I call service. I would definately recommend this company.
