I have had bad experiences with Hermes a long time ago, but it really depends on the courier. I have had the same courier for some time now, and I can only say the service is excellent. The tracking is, in my experience, totally reliable and my courier calls at the same time of day which is very helpful. I know this could all change if the courier does, but so far, I would say excellent, friendly service.
I like the ease of online shopping using my local branch of Waitrose. The service has been good apart from the short life of some of the products. I have noticed this in store, and have found products well past their sell by date. My delivery yesterday, 2nd March, contained smoked salmon dated best before 2nd March. I find this totally unacceptable and it really should not happen. It puts me off using the service again.
When my order arrived part of it was missing. When I telephoned the company I was told it was an administrative error. No apology was offered - I was just told the missing item would arrive in a few days. I explained that it was inconvenient for me to wait in for another delivery but my call was cut short. Shoddy service.
