Made "UP"

but not in a good way!

I love the look of the furniture being offered on Made, it looks stylish and different to main street shops. The prices are not cheap but I always believe if you love something and its what you've been looking for then go for it.

However i am sad and disapointed with Made that the sofa we finally have is no longer my dream sofa.

The order process seemed really simple and everything was quite clear in how you can check your progress and how long it will take. 10 weeks does see excessive but i was prepared to wait. So i was suprised to recieve a call to say our sofa would be ready in 4 weeks, I was delighted.

However i could have cried when it finally arrived, it was torn on everyside, the handles were black with dirt, the legs dented and the stiching was loose all down the side.

It took me nearly 3 days to get any response, they ask you to contact them online which i did but no one got back to me. I put comments asking for someone to ring me on Facebook and my comments were removed, i even twittered, anything to get a response .. again my comments were deleted or someone replied they'd get in touch but never did. EVENTUALLY i recieved a random phone call where they left a message from a manager who said they would sort out a credit note for me or i could keep the sofa and they'd give me half the money back.

They clearly missed the point that the sofa was irrepairable and could not be used but they never really asked me any questions about it or wanted to discuss it further .. it took a further 2 weeks before they came and collected the damaged sofa.

We decided to get a replacement because this is the only sofa we'd found that matched our colour scheme and actually fitted our room. Its practicle instead of being amazing, its ok instead of being our dream sofa for our first house.

I read a report that they were getting an injection of 6Million into the company but no where does it mention customer service. All i wanted to do was speak to someone .. just have a CS person ring me back and listen to what i had to say .. thats it .. i dont think that was too much to ask.
