I was trying to return a laptop bought online, within three days of purchase, and I was flatly told by KNowhow that I could not as I had switched it on and it was now "secondhand"!! Not only that but the tone, the attitude and the whole manner was unfriendly, hostile and in the end ignorant.
I insisted firmly and after several phone calls and emails I managed a refund.
PC WORLD then sent me a customer experience survey and luckily I did not fill it because in the terms and conditions small print I realised that it was not confidential or anonymous and that anything I say could be used against me in case of a dispute about goods or services!
Beware! Avoid PCWORLD and Knowhow.
I was out when the card was put in through the letter box, with a clear tick to inform me that the parcel was back at the depot to be collected 24 hours later.
The next day I turned up at the depot and the parcel was not there! It was out in the van being redelivered!! I had a wasted trip. Back home the delivery van turned up minutes after I got back and it happened to be the same van driver who was involved he previous day. I asked him about the misinformation on the card. He said it was company policy and I should complain to his superviser.
I had tried to phone them four times and spent close to 45 minutes without any luck. Had they answered perhaps my pointless trip to the depot might have been averted.
Why are they still in business? Perhaps they suit the sellers but not the customers. If so, I wonder why?!
