Just a quick review to say always had quick delivery from them and found the communication always speedy and informative as to order recieved and despatched info etc.
For the first time last week i had to return a jacket that was to small for my son. I hadn't paid for the pre-paid returns label so had to bear the cost of return myself but i didn't mind this as it was my choice to not pre-pay. Any how i recieved e-mails to tell me return was recieved then again when return was despatched out to myself which was great customer service i thought. The exchange took less than a week in total so once again very happy with mandm.
Bought a laptop for christmas that wouldn't do windows updates and appeared to have been opened before i recieved it. Spoke to customer services who had a new one dispatched and old one pickde up the next day. As always with Argos great service no quibbles ..... Thanks.
I bought my partner a HP Laptop for christmas and it has been returned to their repair company KNOWHOW twice with the same complaint, basically flickering lines across the screen. The first time it was returned to us we were told the screen had been replaced but after 2 days the same issue reared it head again. We sent it back for a second time and were told the first repair was carried out by an apprentice and they were having it dealt with this time by a fully qualified engineer. On reciept of the laptop it has again developed the same fault ...... grrr!
I am now going to contact HP directly and ask them to look at the laptop under warranty as i have lost confidence in Pixmania repair process. I only hope that HP can help us.
It would appear that many owners of HP Pavillions are having the same problem as me which would possibly point to a problem with the computer build rather than a defect in materials.
By disabling the function that turns off the screen after a certain time and instead using the sleep function it seems that the lines on the screen do not appear. This has been the case for me so far and so i need to speak to HP to establish why so many of its customers are having this problem. Credit to Pixmania who have replaced my screen twice with no improvement and now offered to replace the laptop but i shall wait to see if the work around actually works long term and if so then approch HP.
It would appear that the "poor repair service" may never of stood a chance of correcting this issue and so i thought it only right to amend my rating of this company.
