I've used viking direct for many years now and have never known them let me down, to the contrary, their service is now faster than ever - next day delivery even when ordering late in the day.
The items have always been delivered in full and when a mistake has been made (window envelope ordered, plani envelope sent) they dispatched the correct ones so we had them the very next morning by 10am.
Whilst laterooms are only a reseller of hotel and guest house bedrooms, they do charge for their service in the form of commission taken from the guesthouse or hotel owners.
For the most, people will not come in to contact with their office staff, but when you do they really need some customer service training. Ignored calls, ignored emails, systems that do not work and for the guest house owner if there is a problem they really do not want to know you.
My advice - if your wanting to book a room at a cheap deal - ring the place up and offer to pay them what they are advertising on laterooms, or slightly below given Laterooms takes 15% plus 20% vat off the total price your paying the Hotel - thats a bigger discount to you and a better rate tot he Hotel
