I purchased a King size adjustable bed last October 2011,paid a deposit by cheque, and decided to take out the interest free credit on remainder.Total cost £1870.65.
The new bed was delivered 5 weeks later,but unfortunately,they brought 2 different size bases,one a 13 inch and the other a 15 inch.
I contacted customer services not letting the delivery men leave untill I had spoken to someone.
I was told that they could'nt do anything about it untill the following day when they had the paper work back.
I phoned again,and was told they would organise a replacement base.
Weeks and weeks went by,and during this time I had 5 cancelled delivery dates,the last being Christmas Eve ! On one occasion a delivery team arrived at my address without any prior arrangement saying that they had come to collect an incorrect order,yes they were actualy going to take one of the beds away.
I lost count of the number of phone calls I made to customer Sevices,and the times I spoke to someone at the shop where the bed was purchased.
Finaly,the shop agreed to replace the whole bed as a base was obviously no where to be found.
I wrote to head office complaining,but received no reply.
I emailed twice and still got no reply.
When the replacement bed finaly arrived,the delivery team did'nt have any prior arrangement to remove the existing bed and told me so,but had no choice but to take it away. The replacement bed was absolutely terrible,it looked like it had been made in a hurry.
One of the mattresses was actualy sloping to one side,there were staples sticking up,and the fabric was barely covering the wood.
I contacted Dreams and told them about it requesting that they collected the bed as soon as possible,and that I wanted a refund.
More calls,more waiting,more problems over refund.
I am todate STILL waiting for Barclays to refund the balance owed to me.
DONT EVER GO TO DREAMS TO BUY ANYTHING YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
