My wife bought a gift from Very and it was duly delivered without a hitch. However in the parcel was a scratch card which came from Very as it was in their package.
For fun she checked it and it said she had won and to text a claim. (In hindsight foolish) she did this and received 5 texts in rapid succession saying that althoughshe had matched everything she hadn't won! OK she accepted this until we received our phone bill saying that we had been charged £8.50 TO RECEIVE THEIR TEXTS plus the cost of our outgoing one.
I e mailed Very to complain as the card was in their package and I received a reply asking us to return the card. As this was weeks later she had thrown the card away in disgust and Very have said in a terse e mail that without this they will not do anything. I have gone back to them suggesting that as I wasn't complaining about not winning, they should get one of the cards and check back on call costs. alternatively I am happy to send a copy of my phone bill which itemises the calls. I am now waiting to hear but thought I should warn customers DON'T TOUCH THE CARDS THAT COME WITH YOUR DELIVERY
I have been a customer of BT for a number of years and have telephone with 24/7 calls included.I also pay my line rental in advance for 12 months. Additionally I have BT Broadband with a 40gb limit. Each month my usage has been 17 Gb until this month when they said I had used over 36gb and then 40.4gb within minutes.
I asked them to check as nothing had changed and they just reiterated that I would now be charged more for exceeding 40gb. They invited me to upgrade to unlimited and when I asked what this entailed they said I would also have to pay more for my phone contract as it would be a new deal. I objected to this and asked why my phone package would change if I was willing to pay more for broadband and I was advised that " these are the rules"
the lady I spoke to said she could put a complaint on the file but it wouldn't change anything so I asked for an email address to contact so I could send a complaint. She said they didn't have one but said I could write a letter to Durham.
All in all they are a rip off
I have used a few car hire companies in Lanzarote and always return to Cabrera Medina. Their cars are excellent and the service is quick, easy and very friendly - just what you want at an airport after a flight or wn rushing to catch one. Excellent
I left it late to re- order some tablets for my wife and myself. I went online and ordered within minutes and the goods were with me within two or three days.
Service was first class and I even received a free gift of multivitamins
I will certainly use them again
I have regularly flown with Jet2 and, to be honest, the service was pretty good. As a regular traveller with them, I joined My Jet2 to collect points for free/ reduced flights. This included Lanzarote (were we go to a few times a year). I was in the proess of booking another trip for November when I found out that I could no longer gain points when travelling there. Additionally it makes the points I already have almost worthless unless I choose from a limited number of other destinations(which I don't want to visit). Perhaps I would have accepted this change had they e mailed their "valued" customers about it as they already send inumerable e mails trying to get me to use them.
In all honesty I am very disappointed with this company and will now look at others (which are generally cheaper) rather than continue to show loyalty to Jet2
The balloon flight with Virgin was a brilliant experience and well worth doing, with great service during the flight itself.
Unfortunately due a combination of poor weather and (I guess) overbooking by Virgin I waited over one year and six cancellations before flying.Additionally there were no cancellation options given when we booked by telephone
If you accept that such events happen and can "bear with it" then you will have an incredible experience with professional in flight service
I found ordering from Chemist Direct was easy and quick, with the goods arriving within a couple of days. i could not fault them on efficiency.
My only resevation was the cost of postage and packing which seemed a bit high for the goods I purchased
