Had John Lewis Wardrobes last year ( Hammonds supply them) and was very happy with excellent sales, design and service. As Hammonds offer a wider range directly we approached them, Salesman was the old fashioned stay til 11pm and pretend to call the manager for a discount type. Started with a price and came down over 2k!
Hammonds could fit on Feb 1st, a date I never asked for and which was not convenient as I had repeatedly said we had to wait until my son moved out later in the month; I was told they would charge me a storage charge for holding onto the wardrobes! I pointed out that the surveyor had only measured up the night before so they must have made them pretty damn quick!
Fitting took 3 days during which both bedrooms being fitted were out of use. The larger room was used as work room with circular saw etc. This caused a lot of mess and didnt happen with John Lewis.
The plinths and cornices were poorly cut and unacceptable for such an expensive product, all nibbled and uneven. They were eventually sorted but overall the finish is nothing like as good as the John Lewis wardrobe which is the same range and colour!
One of the wardrobe doors in my younger sons' room had a fault and the first replacement was the wrong design and the second had an even worse fault! I have now waited in on 3 separate days for the door because as a customer I have nothing better to do! This morning I noticed that the bottom plinth on one of the bedside cabinets is coming away and the room hasnt even been occupied!
Fed up, as every call takes for ever for them to answer and they do not call back.
Would I use them again......no I flipping wouldn't!
