Good service at Stratford

Had my SIM card checked with no hassle. Good service and was on my way in no time. The problem was the phone!


Good customer service at Westfield Startford

Had to return my iphone 5 which had stopped working after 2 months! It turned out that the pone was not reading the SIM card. This is a known problem! After initially saying that I would have to make an appointment, the assistant thought better of it, checked the SIM and issued a new replacement immediately. Still surprised that such a premium product would pack in so soon!


Very poor customer service!

Returned a pair of ill-fitting shoes for my partner. The reaction of the sales assistant was incredulous, steadfastly refusing to credit the Barclaycard. I insisted on seeing the manager, who was confrontational and abrupt, stating that it was company policy to offer only a voucher or credit note. After standing my ground, the manager reluctantly and begrudgingly credited the card. This was an appalling customer service experience. It then made me wonder, how would I have coped if I had been living with a special need, such as dementia or autism? Reiss, you really need to get in touch with modern customer service practice. Avoid this store.

Do not value long-term customers!

I have been with Santander/Abbey National since 1986. My mortgage, savings etc are with them. They have no issues with the way I conduct my accounts. In November last year, they would not let me take out a reduced interest mortgage, despite the fact that such products were available. They would not give me an explanation and were rude, stating that there was nothing they could do. Avoid!!!!

Not as advertised

Went to Oxford Street store. specifically to buy a particular brand of shorts - Craghoppers, as advertised online. Was told by a very unfriendly shop assistant that they didn't stock them, with no explanation!

Liverpool Street Branch Customer Service below average.

Bought Netgear N300 router on Tuesday. Despite exccellent support from Netgear and Plusnet, the device failed to hold the ASDL signal. Took the goods back to Maplin. Customer Service Manager told me that he could only exchange the goods and would not refund . He adopted a confrontational attitude, stating that all goods are tested etc... After quoting Consumer Protection Law i.e.that the goods were not fit for purpose, he changed his mind and gave me a refund. He then said that he wouldn't do it again! I won't be using Maplin again!

Never believe the reputation!

A week last Sunday we ordered an Ipad using the click to collect service. We received an email saying that the goods would be available on the Bank Holiday Monday. This was followed by a calll on the Monday saying that we could collect the Ipad from the store on the Tuesday. My partner duly arrived at Waitrose on the Tuesday with the relevant paperwork and card. She was told that there was no record of the order. Following numerous phone calls/emails (and being fobbed off), total confusion reigned. Eventually, a brave John Lewis Customer Service Agent acknowledged the poor service last Friday and offered a £30 refund. The matter is now resolved - but I will never believe what people tell me about John Lewis again!


Would you believe it - a positive experience!

Great experience compared to last year. The level of customer service and communication has improved beyond belief. In particular, the organisation at Palma airport was excellent. As a result, the queues moved rapidy and the waiting time was reduced considerably. Air-crew were very polite and the captains on both flights were very communicative, informing passengers throughout the flight about any developments, place/sights of interest. This made the experience far more enjoyable! Well done Easyjet!

Poor Customer Service - Loughton Branch

Went to buy non-stick pans as advertised on the internet. I saw the items, but they didn't appear to be on offer. .I asked the staff where the offer was located. They pointed to the back of the store. I explained that there were no signs advertising the offer. The reply was to 'help myself', with no direction or help!

The customer service was non-existent, with one employee on the phone, ignoring the customers in the shop. Serious training needed here!


Poor service

Visited Liverpool St store. Wanted a choice of both button down and formal collar. Not impressed. with the service. There was a couldn't care less attitude from the two female sales staff. Was iI being served by work-experience employees? Then went to Jermyn Street Flagship store, were I had to iterrupt 3 staff who were busy gossiping! Gets three stars for good product. Not what I expected!!!

Be careful!

Virgin offers good deals on some interesting products. When my new Blackberry packed up whilst on holiday in the middle of nowhere in India, all they could do was offer me a refurbished replacement! Will be looking to move at the end of my contract.



Just discovered Aldi. Great food, good wines and excellent value!



Now doing a weekly shop. Great Burgundy wines. Need I say more?
