Outstanding service & value

To be able to personalise and deliver products the next day at a lower price than other suppliers is simply amazing.

Lovely furniture, shame about the customer experience

+ Excellent website with a vast choice of designs, good pictures and easy to use
+ Telephone staff were generally helpful and knowledgeable
+ Cheerful and helpful delivery driver
+ Furniture arrived well packaged and undamaged
+ Lovely furniture, better than expected

- Estimated 4-6 weeks delivery turned out to be 10 weeks
- Payment taken immediately
- No communication about delayed delivery
- First delivery cancelled with no notice due to van breakdown
- Had to wait 2 weeks for next delivery slot - totally unacceptable, I understand that problems occur but our order should have been prioritised and with us the next day

Points for Oak Furniture Solutions to improve:
1. Give more accurate delivery estimates
2. Don't take payment until goods are in stock
3. Communicate the progress of orders
4. Use a more capable delivery company

Dear Simon,

Many thanks for your constructive feedback and please accept my sincerest apologies for the problems you have experienced with your order.

I am sorry you experienced delays with your order and felt that there was a lack of communication. I can see that there was a delay with one of the nightstands on your order and it took longer than anticipated to come in from our supplier. I appreciate that we should have contacted you within the maximum six week time period to advise of the delay. We are currently restructuring the system by which we contact customers from the point of order to delivery so that customer's are kept regularly up to date.

We always take the total amount due for the order at point of sale which is standard practice for all online retailers, allowing us to purchase the items from our suppliers and so on. We do have the option for customers to pay a deposit only, with the rest payable when the items are ready, for customer convenience.

I am sorry that your first delivery had to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. We rectified this immediately by booking you in for a second delivery, which was as early as we could make it at the time. We do try in some circumstances to use external courier services if there are runs in your area but this does not always fit in with individual locations and expectations.

I can fully understand your frustration with the service you have received and the delay and can assure you these are not the service levels we aim to achieve, or indeed usually offer. Once again please accept my apologies,

Straightforward and Good Value

Have been using Blackcircles for a few years now because it saves the hassle of ringing round for prices and you can choose your tyres without being limited to what's in stock at a particular fitting centre. It is usually the best price available too. Excellent communication and I've never had any problems with the website or fitting centre services.
