Some years ago I only used Asda food store to buy brand names as they offered the best price for these. I found their own brand foods of poor quality and geared towards offering a low price. The ingredients were high in cheap unhealthy fillings to ease hunger but low on actual nourishment value.
This now seems to have changed drastically! I now buy their own brands of ready meals as they are excellent in quality and taste and, as I am on a special diet, my husband does not have to do without his favourite foods because of me. Asda also offers a money back scheme from which I have benefited already. They check what you have bought with their 3 main competitors and if you could have got it cheaper, they credit the difference next time you shop.
Their delivery service is good and can be very cheap if you are available outside peak times. All in all - Asda is now on a par with the more upmarket supermarkets. Long may it continue!
Most other sites are geared for the larger purchaser. This means that pet owners who have a small number of pets have to pay hefty delivery charges.
MedicAnimal's policy is great as it offers free delivery. Although they can't really compete with supermarkets on some tinned foods, the large 15 Kg sacks of specialized foods for example, are excellent value and often difficult to find elsewhere.
I was also able to purchase quality medical treatments such as flea/tic capsules cheaper than anywhere else.
All-in-all, an excellent site and one I hope to use again and again!
