I must admit I was a bit wary of ordering from Boohoo initially as the Trustpilot page back then was full with bad reviews, but seeing as there are always so many things I want to buy... I decided to take the plunge with a small order.
Admittedly most of the bad reviews were from overseas customers and were regarding late/no delivery or late/no refund... being a lover of internet shopping this is all very important, so I thought it would be best to try them out with a fairly low value purchase first of all to see how I got on.
I can now say that I have been ordering from them for well over a year and haven't had any problems. I had one package missing a while back so I emailed and Boohoo responded saying they would check with the courier, I didn't hear back from them but as the package arrived safe and sound I wasn't bothered.
I've made quite large orders, small orders, sent things back for refund... all with no issues. It does take a little while for refunds to be processed, but in all honesty when you think about how many orders they must be shipping every day it's easy to understand that they'll most likely have a lot of returns as well (wrong size, changed mind or whatever reason).
The only thing I don't like, which I must admit I'm not sure if they still do this, is that they have charged admin fees for processing returns. This does confuse me as I work for an online company and don't see how this charge is justified when I'm fully aware of what is involved with processing a return/exchange... and they don't even do exchanges! - That's the only other thing I would change, having the option to exchange would be awesome.
All in all, I've watched Boohoo grow and become massively popular, ordered great clothes - worn great clothes! and I'm not too bothered really by the very few things I would change.
I'll continue to order from Boohoo as they're clothing is pretty good quality considering the low prices!
I am a massive fan of ASOS and have been for years now. It's such a pleasure using their site; really easy to navigate and (being a picky girl) I love the search and filter functions. My favourite part is most likely the saved items page, this has been so handy since it was introduced I really hope it stays as I now find every site that doesn't have this to be quite a pain. I don't often return things as sizing is generally spot on with their own branded clothing and the brands they supply, but when I have had to return it has been free and the refund is actioned really quickly.
As far as issues with orders or products, this is where they shine. I had an order turn up with a product missing (the top of the package had been sliced, I assume at the courier depot) and I was refunded straight away as a replacement could not be sent. On another occasion a product turned up and had a defect so I emailed customer services, then shortly after received a response offering compensation (part refund) so I was really chuffed to have a resolution, and a positive one!
I wholeheartedly recommend ASOS, really great company.
