I purchased a Barcelona TV bed together with a mattress from Dreams at Worksop. The delivery date I was given was about six weeks after the purchase date which was a bit of a longer wait than expected but no big deal as it gave me more time to do the decorating.
The sales staff at the Worksop showroom were very polite and helpful and I was left to browse the store without being given the 'hard sell', they were also helpful on a subsequent visit to measure the height of the headboard, during this visit I mentioned the negative reviews and they admitted that they have been having some problems following a restructuring but were hoping to now have them resolved.
On the given delivery date I received a phone call at 07:45 from the Dreams delivery team Birmingham to say that they would have my bed with me between 11:15 and 13:15. The bed arrived even earlier than the estimate at 11:10 and the two delivery men had the bed in the bedroom, built up and ready to go in approx one hour, the delivery men were very polite & efficient, removing their shoes to go upstairs without being asked, all the packaging was cleared from the site and the room was left tidy, couldn't wish for better.
I read the reviews on this site about three weeks after purchasing and paying for the bed and as you would expect it did not exactly fill me with confidence but I have to say that overall Dreams have delivered everything they promised, in the condition as promised and on the date as promised, so if you are like me reading this after placing an order it might ease your mind a little to know that it is not all bad news!
I do have a couple of niggles.......I phoned up customer services to enquire about the height of the headboard, the phone call wasn't overly long but it did involve different departments, after explaining what I wanted to whoever answer firstly all I got for a reply was a grunt down the phone and my phone call forwarded (very rude) the other customer service personnel that I spoke to were polite enough but seemed a little disinterested and the answer they gave me (height 1.5m) was incorrect, the actual height is 1.3m. The other niggle is not a big deal but it would be better to get a phone call the day before delivery rather than on the day of delivery.
Based on my experience I would have to say that overall I am very pleased with the service I have received, the staff at the Worksop showroom were especially helpful and the delivery team very punctual, efficient and polite.
