Edge & Wax

not as good as usual......busy sale time effect maybe !!

usually 5 stars but a few issues this time....first no order confirmation by e-mail..then delivery just over max stated time (usually quicker ).....then skiis arrived in torn open packaging ( i know skiis can take a bashing but new edges are sharp and a bit of bubble wrap isn't really adequate )
That said when phoned service was good ...matters dealt with (too late on the delivery of course).....
but excellent products and good sale prices

Hello Mark, really sorry to see this review, as 4 stars is a FAIL on Trustpilot, and of course we don't want unhappy customers!

We DID send a confirmation order email, unfortunately we cannot control issues such as spam boxes, incorrect addresses etc, but I have checked the mail server and we did send an email (we upgraded our email server just 4 months ago), so I am sorry that you didn't get it for whatever reason!

We do wrap the skis in the off season in several layers of bubble wrap (I am afraid it isnt just a bit they are wrapped at least 3 turns, we spend a fortune on the stuff as we use three layers, and build end cap pads) and we cover the skis in 600 strength plastic. If something gets through all that, then SOMETHING has happened and we would expect a customer to contact us which you did so that we can address it for you! We have reminded the packing staff of our wrapping procedure to ensure they are doing things as they should be based on your feedback.

This summer, in sale mode, we do run little slower, but a day is not too bad considering we still hand wax the skis and set up bindings if needed prior to shipping, and people often don't see the "working days" in our shipping times, but yours arrived 24 hours later than our estimated shipping time. We won't compromise and rush waxing skis and setting bindings up, and we would rather have a mumble about being a day late in the off-season than someone hurting themselves when they get to use their skis and find we have not done a proper job setting the skis up for you!

So I am sorry we did not tick all your boxes this time. Based on your feedback what we did do was notify the workshop and they now add additional packaging at the tip and tail. Of course, in season, when we are not saving customers up to 70% on skis, we use our SkiShield boxes which further protect skis in transit.

We do hope that you can look forward to enjoying those new skis when the snow finally arrives. Scott - Managing Director
