We ordered a slide, not a cheap one at £182.00, on 29th March and received a confirmation of order E-Mail straightaway. The next day, 30th March, the money was shown as taken from our Barclaycard A/c and we received an E-mail notifying us of despatch of goods. On a 3-5 working day delivery timeframe we were due to get the slide by the end of the next week or at the very beginning of the next as there was a 2 day Easter Bank holiday Fri-Mon to allow for.
The first week went by with nothing received. Then the second. A phone call to Fun4Kids on the Friday of that second week led to us being told the slide was on it's way. Monday came and went, as did Tuesday. Still nothing. We rang again late on the Tuesday getting slightly irate by now and was told "Apologies for the delay but it would DEFINITELY be with us Wednesday, the next day". Wrong again!
It was only on the Thursday (19th April), some 22 days after we ordered the slide that we achieved delivery. After listening to our tale of woe the delivery driver showed us his paperwork which confirmed the slide hadn't started out on it's delivery stage until the day before, Wednesday the 18th.
The let down with this whole story is that we were promised various delivery dates along the way all proving to be inaccurate. Product fine, delivery timescale ABYSMAL.
Just a note to say a really big thank you to Shedstore for making our delivery so smooth. We were offered a delivery date a week before we needed the arbor but that didn't prove to be a problem as we were then able to agree a deferred delivery the following week. You then think have I done the right thing? Will they remember to deliver in 3 weeks time as we weren't local to them? Answer to both questions a resounding YES!! Absolutely brilliant service. Can't thank you enough.......... and the arbor looks great too. Arrived in pieces but all the bits were there!!
