Tried several times to order one wardrobe and one chest of drawers from Argos but the page just hung and I didn't receive any confirmation - well not until I received 5 emails from them confirming 5 orders for the same thing - and they had taken the money from my credit card! Ouch! Contacted them immediately and gave all order details and told my account would be credited within 10 days? Hmm .. they can take my money immediately but drag their feet to re-credit! Several phone calls later I received a part-refund and eventually (3 months later!!!) received the remainder - even then I had to go in to one of the stores for a credit - I will never book a home delivery with them again!
Have shopped with Sainsbury's online for a few years now and they have never let me down. They give 1 hour slots and 99% of the time arrive within this time - in the event they are a few minutes late they have given me a "Late Voucher" to use online - to the value of £10.00! Great! The goods arrive well-packed and separated into different bags for individual products so that the frozen foods are together and meat products etc. They also do a recycling service for your old carrier bags and the driver will take them away. The products 'picked' in-store usually have at least a 4 day shelf life or the freshest date possible - so all in all can't grumble. Will continue to shop with them online - it takes the hassle out of taxis or struggling with bags on the bus.
Have been with Vodafone for about 5 years now and think they have a lot to offer. Their price and call plans are very competitive and I would recommend to anyone - nice feature is their Freebee Rewardz so every time you top up you earn points which can be redeemed and spent in a variety of locations from store gift vouchers to paintballing, or if you prefer a free top up.
I am also an O2 customer but this doesn't compare at all!
Don't book a food delivery with them - I did. They operate 2 hour slots (allegedly). Booked a delivery for a Sunday expecting a roast for Sunday lunch - delivery between 1pm and 3pm - at 5pm I got a call saying they couldn't make it (after being fobbed off on the phone & no lunch). I was promised a delivery for the day after at 6pm .. they turned up at 6.50pm - substituted cheese and onion crisps with salt and vinegar - like they couldn't switch a brand name for their own! Very poor - even complained to their Head Office who were totally dismissive - so they lost my custom. I'll stick to Sainsburys - never had a problem with them.
I have had some terrific bargains from Amazon and a regular shopper with them. If buying directly from them they do operate a free delivery service which overall is excellent - Occasionally they didn't get the packaging quite right - sometimes too big or small but they always ask for feedback to improve their services. Rarely had to contact customer services but on the occasions I have, they have been quick to come back to me and resolve any queries. Never had any problems with them and would recommend.
Flew with Thomas Cook to Tenerife and to be fair the flight was OK. Did notice on boarding how tatty the cabin crew appeared to be! They were not that customer friendly either. The in-flight meals were very poor both out and inbound (considering the cost I would have expected better). What went wrong - you wouldn't have encountered this at one time from a company with a good reputation? Put off from booking with them again so back to Jet2 for me!
Delivery was great however, flowers received could have been a better arrangement considering it was a small gift bag - disappointed!
