I was very impressed with this company's customer service. They offered me a price match on three light shades, free delivery as the order was over £50 and, when it transpired I was only sent two shades, after a phone call I received the third shade the next day. One small criticism: they do not send an email confirming despatch, which can leave you hanging in the air a bit, not knowing what is going on.
I bought an item on Amazon Marketplace and when I realised it had been sent by Hermes, I was apprehensive given the number of bad reports there are circulating about the company. However, it was delivered in very reasonable time and was in perfect condition. I suppose you can only speak as you find. Perhaps my next experience may not be so good.
I ordered a set of pans online over a weekend. The cost was debited from my credit card and then during the next week I found the price had been reduced by £5. When I contacted the company they promptly refunded me the £5! The items were also delivered very quickly. I have to say I don't recognise the poor experience others report they had.
I waited in all day to receive a parcel from Amazon, which had been marked out for delivery. When it failed to appear by 7pm I checked the Yodel website. I found the last entry referred to data received but no parcel. When I called their help line, it transpired that the driver had been given the paperwork, but the parcel had not been put on the van! I have had a number of problems with deliveries from Amazon over the years. They appear to use substandard companies to keep delivery costs down.
