Awful customer service

I ordered 3 items from linenslimited.co.uk. Delivery was supposed to be fast - here is their tag line: "At Linens Limited we believe that internet shopping was meant to be fast and carry huge stocks to ensure speedy delivery and customer satisfaction."

The money was taken from my account and a week later I still hadn't received the goods. I emailed 3 times over 2 days and received no response. I then rang the company and was told that my order was packed but not sent for some reason. They said they would ring back but didn't. I then received an email saying they couldn't get in touch with me, that 1 item was unavailable, and asked what I wanted to do. I replied to that email saying I would like to be refunded for the unavailable item and to please send the rest of my goods promptly. I received no reply to this email.

Finally I rang the company again and was quite rudly told that it was MY fault that they hadn't been able to contact me, because they'd tried but hadn't been able to get through on my mobile number. I use my phone daily, the number works just fine and I had it on all day every day. I pointed out that they could have emailed me instead.

I asked for the remainder of my order to be put on fast delivery rather than 3 day delivery to make up for the hassle and delays of the past week and a bit. They said 'no' because they'd 'tried' to get in touch with me and suggested it was my fault that there'd been delays. I doubt I would have even heard from them if I hadn't started emailing and calling them after that first week of waiting around.

So delays, lack of communication, blaming the customer, not offering any compensation for poor service and finally not seeming to care that I eventually cancelled my order because of being so fed up with it all.

I haven't dealt with such poor customer service for a long time and would never recommend this store.

Great customer service

I ordered a chest of drawers and needed fast delivery. The company advertised 2-3 week delivery which was what I needed. When it got past the 2 week mark then I contacted them because I was worried. They were excellent at dealing with my emails, checking on the status of my order and then checking back with me to ensure everything was ok. The drawers arrived on time and in good condition. I would recommend the company.
