A great place to avoid the mistakes before they happen, we have seen what we thought would be perfect places to eat or stay and then changed our minds when we read fair reviews, we have been unsure about trying somewhere new then read reviews and taken the plunge and those reviews have always been correct, these days we don't go anywhere without checking it out on Trip first.
We arrived in the travelodge Hull after a 4 hour drive in the snow, hungry and tired, I decided to order a takeaway, order placing was very simple, a confirmation e-mail recieved very quickly I went downstairs to the hotel lobby to wait for our meals.
An hour and a half later I went back online (costs a fortune in travelodge for internet access) to get a phone number to see if we could ascertain out what the delay was, only to find a mail had been sent to say that the order had been cancelled due to "A discrepancy between the take-away company and Takeaway.com, no further eplanation as to why we been made to wait in a drafty hotel lobby for an hour and a half.
The wait meant that other takeways in the area were now closed so we had to go to bed hungry.
Why ask for a contact phone number if you don't use it ? a simple call would have solved our problem.
The event was a farce, our first and last experience of using this company.
Your response that there was a problem yesterday evening would mean something if the incident had happened yesterday evening, the night of the incident was actually 6 nights ago on Monday 21st January, do these incidents happen that often then ? But I do appreciate that you have listened to what I said and taken time to respond at all.
Arrived exactly on the day they said it would, complete and fully working, just what I expected from the website and in my opinion very good value for money, I shopped around before choosing them, prices elsewhere for the same product were much higher. Ordered late evening on the Tuesday it arrived Thursday morning as I had been told it would, I will be using them again.
