I placed an order on sat 17th March for multiple items, here is what their website states: 'We only display items on the website that we currently have in stock. In most cases, stock can be taken from our main warehouse, and you will receive your item(s) within 2 working days from the point of placing an order. If we have to source the item(s) from one of our stores' stockrooms, this takes a little longer and delivery is usually within 3-5 days'
I phoned them on Wednesday 21st March for a status update. The person whom i spoke with was helpful, and told me they were waiting for a few items to be delivered to complete my order. Part of the order was a tent which I needed for that weekend, it was in stock, and I asked whether it would be better for them to send out what they had in stock and cancel the rest of the order. The person on the phone said that the other items were due in that afternoon and they would phone me back on Thursday 22cd March to confirm this and send out the delivery; they never did, and my items never arrived; I decided to cancel the order on Monday 26th March. The person I spoke to to cancel the order was efficient and apologetic. I normally use Amazon when shopping online but on this occasion I decided to use Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports because of the specialised nature of the items. I should have stuck with [link].
Both the people I spoke to on the phone were pleasant; the reason for my 2 star rating was because the first person I spoke to never fulfilled his promise of phoning me back, and I never received the items I needed for that weekend, and annoyingly, this was well within the capabilities of the staff.
