Orogold

Sleazy, underhand tactics - avoid. Rip off prices

Here's my experience:

Me and my mum were walking along New Bond St, London, and suddenly this man starts calling my mum "hey, you've got any amazing smile, so beautiful. Let me give a free a sample, it's got real gold and is anti-ageing". I saw her walk towards them and thought, she'll just get the free sampe and then carry on walking. I turn around - "WHERE IS MY MUM?!"

They kind of dragged her off the street and into the basement on New Bond Street, took me a second to realise where she'd gone!!! I went in and found her, that the sales assistants are are extremely sleazy and over tactile. I was so angry with them, very underhand, forceful selling.

£250 for a face cream?! Are they joking?! If it was that good they wouldn't need to drag unsuspecting shoppers, office workers etc off the street!!!

Also, if you really want this rubbish you can find it on Amazon much cheaper.

N.B. The £250 was a "special discount" just for my mum. Wow generous. Idiots.

Just found this regarding Oro Gold in the US - sounds very similar to what happened to us. Luckily my mum didn't make a purchase.

Dominos

Best pizzas available!!!

I love Dominos! Their range is brilliant and I always order a Double Decadence Base - Where else can you get a pizza with cheese inside?! This is one of the best food ideas I've ever come across.

It is too expensive, but Two for Tuesdays makes up for that ^_^

Dealcloud

1 good experience, 1 bad

I have used Dealcloud twice now. Once I bought a 2 night stay in a hotel. It was very easy to purchase and redeem the voucher etc. The hotel was very nice (if a bit corporate - but that's not Dealcloud's fault). We had a lovely time.

The second time I have used this company the following happened:
Dealcloud were offering a voucher for 2 pairs of slimming pants for £19 - normal Aneeks retail price £80. A bargain I thought!

It was not a bargain. When I went to redeem my voucher I had to set up an account with Aneeks. On setting it up I was notified that account holders get special privileges. I added the pants to my basket and then thought I'd have a browse of their other products. So glad I did!!!

On the left of the screen there was a "deal surf" section - the SAME pants were being sold for £15.80!!!
Cheaper than the Dealcloud voucher and phenomenally cheaper than Aneeks' price of £80. So retail value of these pants is £8 - what the hell is the cost value?!

Aneeks are hoping that people won't see this section before they make their purchase. I'm my opinion that is disgraceful. I had never heard of this company before and this is obviously why. They won't be around for long.

I have informed BBC's Watchdog programme ;-)

Dealcloud did refund the price of my voucher, however I'll be hesitant to use them again.

Petplanet

Fantastic!

I love Petplanet. I always shop around for good deals but always end buying from these guys.

They have an excellent range, whether I'm buying my BSH cat breed specific food or just toys, they always have what I want.

I had an issue one time, it seemed that maybe the courier had dropped the box because when I opened it (after the courier had left), the cat litter have exploded all over everything else. Petplanet resolved my issue quickly and easily.

I would recommend them every time >^.^<

Rosewoodpet

Excellent customer service and great quality product!

I purchased a cat carrier made by the Options brand, who are made by Rosewood and it is excellent. It's so sturdy and my cat loves it! It was so easy to assemble!

My husband didn't realise it needed unclipping before he replaced the door. We take it off as the cat loves it so much he uses it as his basket! As it wasn't unclipped, one of the clips snapped in half. I contacted Rosewood to see if I could buy a replacement clip and they sent me 4 replacements within days for free and didn't even charge postage!!!

I definitely recommend the options pet carriers! http://www.rosewoodpet.com/brands/brand.aspx?bid=47

Ripleyflowers

BEWARE!!! 0 stars if it was possible

*** Company also known as Ripley Hampers, Ripley Fine Gifts, Ripley Sweets, Ripley Gift Experiences ****

This company is a scam. I ordered some flowers for Mother's day and my payment was processed immediately. I asked for delivery to be made on the day before Mother's day. The flowers did not arrive.

I called the number given on the website (0844 888 0256) and got the tone for "number not recognised", I have tried numerous times but still get the same tone. I emailed the address given flowers@ripley-group.com (the link on the website doesn't even work!!!) but did not receive a response.

Luckily I paid through PayPal and opened a dispute. I called the mobile number given on the PayPal transaction and got through to "David's" (presumably David Thomson, "chairman") answer phone, despite numerous attempts the phone was never on when I called. Eventually, "David" called me and told me that he would process the refund immediately. However, a week on the refund has not been made.

I tried to my best to see if this company was legit before I purchased from them, but neglected to call the number given. Had I known it was a fake number I never would have used them.

Please learn from my mistake and avoid this company at all costs.
