We recently visited Costa Del Sol for a week and so flew into Malaga.
Initially I booked a car through Holiday Autos but when I received the confirmation email it stated that the car would be provided by Marbesol who have appalling internet reviews, particulalry the 800 Euro deposit if you don't take their additional insurance! Although this was the cheapest quote I could find, £111 for a group D car I decided to try elsewhere.
I found MalagaCar.com and the majority of their reviews were favourable. They quoted £114 for a group D car (Ford Focus or similar) for 8 days, they only had a half tank fuel policy (a lot more reasonable) and you only leave a deposit equivalant to the hire cost if you didn't take their additional insurance - again significantly less than 800 Euros!! I did email them about their fuel policy to try to find out whether they massively over charged for the half tank of fuel that they did put in. I recevieved a prompt reply but I think the language barrier confused things as my question wasn't really answered.
Upon arrival at the airport we easily found the MC rep in the arrivals hall. She directed us outside and to the right where we would be collected by a shuttle bus. We wandered outside according to her directions expecting to find a sign or a bus stop but there wasn't any however it soon became obvious that this is the area where all of the off airport car hire companies pick up their customers. We waited about 10 mins before a MalagaCar liveried mini bus pulled up. Unfortunately there then followed a bit of a scrum of customers, not really assisted by the driver who concentrated on getting the luggage on board. You can't really afford to be polite here as you will spend your holiday standing outside the airport for a week!! Perhaps some sort of queueing system would be better, maybe a deli counter style ticket handed out by the staff in the arrivals hall and a sign outside where the buses stop. There is no obvious queueing system as mentioned in a previous review?
Anyway the journey to the office took literally two minutes. It's a pleasant enough building with a large inside car park and smart efficient looking office. There were four or five desks and each one was manned. Within ten minutes of getting out of the minibus I had the car keys in my hand and had completed all of the paperwork. I was shown to the car in the car park and left to start my holiday. Having hired cars abroad through many many different firms in the past this was unbelievably quick.
The car itself was a Toyota Auris, diesel, 6 spd, Air Con (in blue!). It was clearly fairly new but it did have a scuff mark on the n/s door which wasn't mentioned on the hire agreement. I took a photo on my phone with the garage in the background and decided not to go back in as it was minor damage. It was a very nice little car (never driven one before), good fuel comsumption and pretty nippy. No complaints at all.
When we returned 8 days later we were met by a member of staff in the garage who instructed us to remove all luggage and park the car up with keys in the ignition. We got on a mini bus less than 5 mins later and were soon at the airport.
I checked my credit card statement and the deposit of £114 was refunded the next day. I also worked out that the half tank of fuel that they had put in was very cheap, definitely cheaper than the petrol station near our villa, 40 Euros for 35 litres (there is no surcharge or admin fee).
Bearing in mind that most other companies wanted about £240 for an equivalant car at the same airport I was very pleased. I would definitely recommend MalagaCar with the following conditions -
* Check the car for damage before you leave and report any that is 'significant' and not on the hire agreement
* Be prepared to leave your manners at home when it comes to the mini bus
* Book your own additional insurance. There are plenty of companies that do it. Ours worked out at £14 instead of the £45 that they charge.
* If you need booster seats take your own as your childs hand luggage. We needed two and that would've cost £62 for 8 days from the hire company.
Took out boiler cover.
They took 4 mths to fix the problem, took days to order parts and re-book engineers, the engineers had little or no knowledge of the boiler itself (a standard Vaillant), customer service non-existant.
When I complained the person in CS that I was delaing with simply stopped communicating. She left me an answerphone message saying I'll call you tomorrow and after that I didn't hear from her again.
There are definitely better companies out there for boiler cover. Try anyone but not npower.
The driver failed to follow delivery instructions (printed on address label) on first attempt.
Stated they would deliver another day but failed to even put the package on the van, despite them stating that it was on the way.
Couldn't deliver the next day as all the drivers left the depot without this package.
Failed to deliver the next day as the driver simply didn't turn up.
Finally delivered on the fifth attempt but only allowed a driver for a large, heavy package which was completely inadequate as it was clearly a 2 person lift or required a pallet truck.
When I complained over the phone I was told that the depot manager would call me to explain what had happenned and I'm still waiting over ten days later.
A Letter of complaint was sent and apparently this company are allowed to miss deliveries, make numerous mistakes and give extremely poor levels of service because it's written into their T&Cs. Unbelievable.
In short if you want your package to arrive choose someone else!

This is the second large purchase I have made from Box and I was impressed yet again.
I ordered the item at lunchtime and it was here in the morning the next day, you can't get any better than that.
In addition this was pretty much the cheapest price I could get this item for ..........
What more could you ask for?
I have now ordered two laptops from Simply Acer, one for my wife about 18 months ago and one for my father in law in November last year.
On both occasions the spec of the machine has been excellent for the money, I couldn't find better for the price, comms have been good keeping me updated and delivery swift.
I would recommend them and would buy again.
Cheapest price I could find anywhere, good comms keeping me updated with my order and no delivery charge. The jacket arrived very quickly (within two days) and the only issue that I have is that the courier left the package by my front door all day when I had left a note asking him to leave it with a neighbour - Obviously this is down to interlink express and not e-outdoor.
Overall I would recommend e-outdoor and would use them again.
