Item delivered poorly and subsequently had a large whole in the table service (air hockey table). Finally this was replaced more then 6 weeks later. Only following the threat of legal action and involvement from professional bodies. The after sales service was non existent. The complaints department never responded or took calls. The whole experience was appauling.
This was a Xmas present for my daughter. Whilst we reported the poor condition item received within 72hrs and we notified UKsportimports we could not open to Xmas Day a week later because difficult with size and keeping secrecy. We were told this would be fine as long as we reported any damage (if any) immediately. Regrettably this turned out to be the case with a large whole in the table surface which made unplayable. Not only a very disappointed little 10 year old Xmas day, but when I notified UKisportimports by email immediately (as instructed) and called 27th Dec (as no reply to email) I was told very unsympathetically they couldn't help. In fact the whole experience was disgraceful. Only after considerable time, expense and letters/emails was this resolved. I suspect without the help of professional trade bodies and solicitor advice I would still be chasing. The company was quite happy for me to fade away and take the hit sitting behind a note in small print on their website informing any buyer to report damage within 72hrs of receipt. I understand this and believe this to fall foul of Goods of Sale Act. I would never ever use this company again after this experience. Buyers beware ....
