I've been to F&B at Leicester Meridian Park a number of times and my children like it there.
It was my sons birthday and that is where he wanted to go, so I booked a table a few days in advance.
When we arrived, we were told that our table wasnt ready yet and we could wait in the bar area and was given a pager to let us know when our table would be ready. Glancing around the restaurant, there were a number of empty, clean tables. There were only four of us so not a difficult number to seat.
Whilst we were waiting, we noticed a lot of groups of people coming into the restaurant who hadnt booked, and were seated immediately.
We waited, and waited, and as my husband was saying to us "shall we go to the restaurant next door instead" a waitress approached us and asked if we were waiting to be seated. So much for the pager that never went off.
Eventually we were seated.
The music was cranked up so loud, we couldnt have a conversation without repeating ourselves numerous times or raising our voices to a level that then disrupted diners close by.
The table staff were friendly and were prompt in serving us and the food arrived in a reasonable time.
The food was ok, nothing more than that. It did look as though it has been thrown onto the plates. And they seriously need to rethink the pizzas.
There was no topping on it and a thin smear of tomato based sauce. Absolutely dreadful.
Its such a shame because when we've been before the food has always been great, and presented rather than "shove it on a plate, that'll do"
The bill came to around £100.00 and frankly, I felt as though I had been mugged!
I purchased an expensive gadget from a major retailer with an exceptional reputation (that was the reason we purchased from them in particular)
Little did i know the courier they would use would be herpes.
As soon as i was given the box i knew something was not right as it was so lightweight and no movement inside, then i noticed the packaging had been tampered with (yes tampered with, not accidentally come apart and the contents fallen out but tampered with).
With the courier still there i started to remove the inner packaging to reveal an empty box (i didnt even have to open the box because of the tampering)
I refused to sign for it whilst my Husband got on the phone to the retailer. The courier (still on my doorstep) spoke to the retailer and confirmed what had happened and the retailer told the courier how to proceed and that they could now go.
The retailer asked us to give full details of the tampering and they were even more surpised because the box had been despatched inside one of their own heavy duty mailing bags.
Not only had herpes ripped open (and disposed of) the mailing bag but some sticky fingered oik had then tampered with the box and stole the contents.
I cannot for life of me understand why major retailers are damaging their own reputation by using such a 2nd rate shambolic, thieving courier company.
Purchased an expensive item from a major High Street and On line group. The reason i used the supplier was because of their reputation.
Unfortunately they sent my parcel by hermes. The box had been tampered with and the contents stolen. I advised the supplier immediatley who organised a replacement to be sent by city link and it would be with me by 10:30am the following day.
I was kept upto date with the online tracking and my item arrived before 9am and was delivered by a pleasant chap.
Thank you City-Link for doing exactly what was promised.

One of my suppliers has used this company for a while.
The online tracking system is easy to use and i particularly like the fact that you get an email / text message to give you an hour window of when your item is due to be delivered.
They always turn up promptly and the driver is pleasant and helpful.
Wish all of my suppliers would use this company, it would make my job a lot easier.
My supplier had sent an order by Yodel that should have been delivered on Friday.
Due to Yodel being utterly incompetant and useless, i rang my supplier at 4pm on Friday and they told me they would resend the parcel by Parcelforce for Monday.
I wasnt sure whether they meant they would send the parcel on Monday or it would be delivered on Monday (due to it being late on Friday afternoon when i rang) either way i didnt mind because anything would be better than the lack of service from Yodel.
Well, 10am Monday morning parcelforce delivered by order. The driver was pleasant and proffessional.
Well done to both my supplier and Parcelforce for being effecient and for clearing up Yodels sloppy mess (again)
Yet again having waited in all day my parcel never arrived. I checked on the tracking system and the status had been updated to:
No One To Receive Card Left
I have been in all day and a card (yet again) is nowhere to be found
This shambolic company havent been near my address, this i know because i even went to the effort of going through the cctv footage and surprise surprise no yodel delivery was ever attempted.
Dont think that i am just complaining for the sake of complaining, this has happened a number of times this year with this delivery company (and we are still in March).
Why are large, reputable companies using Yodel as their delivery provider?
They have lied that they ever attempted to come to my address, they have lied that no one was in, and they have lied that a card was left.
I have rang my supplier and complained to them directly because whenever i have complained to Yodel in the past, they havent even have the courtesy to acknowledge my contact, let alone reply.
If you are also having problems and you have ordered something, waiting for it to be delivered and your supplier has used Yodel, I urge you to complain to your supplier as well as they may not be aware of the poor service Yodel are providing.
Dont know if this is just a problem in this area (Leicestershire) but fed up with being lied to.
