I was delighted to be able to summarise my experience with Santander which includes miscalculating my mortgage (and trying to charge me for it), demanding interest payment for a period after I closed it - having previously given me another sum as final payment due, and a catalogue of failing to provide promised information for my late mothers estate which I was only able to get out of them by using the Financial Ombudsman after seven or eight months effort. None of the ten or more individuals i spoke to apologised , took responsibility for the situation or ever, ever returned calls. I really hope if you are reading this you will stay away from them - finance capitalism at its worst.
had two years home insurance with AXA - had good info about dealing with two minor problems and rapid communication with assessors they use. However my premium was hiked dramatically and they were unwilling to negotiate lower price despite being quoted at a much lower price on money supermarket.
was happy with product and price - however delivery for my area (EDINBURGH) was from depot 30 miles away and while i was trying to organise this via there automated service i recieved an erroneous email suggesting that product had been returned to B in A after three failed deliveries. I emailed instantly and left two phone messages but did not receive a response for 3 days and delivery i arranged happened anyway. I also havent had an apology or explanation from anyone for the time and effort i wasted on this. So not good customer service and i DONt think i ll be b ack
