I'm very pleased with service I've received from DPD. My parcel was delivered on the correct day, and even within the advised delivery period. This happened to be when I was out, but that morning I'd updated my order via the DPD website to drop the parcel over my back gate (it wasn't fragile). They confirmed my instructions via email. I returned home to find a delivery note advising that they had been and dropped the item as directed.
I gave them 4 rather than 5 stars for two reasons...
1. Their automated phone line is hopeless. There's no option to speak to a human being, and the "general enquiry" option tells you to contact the sender then hangs up!
2. Much of the web site requires a calling card number to make changes to your order, but unless there has been at least one attempted delivery, you don't have one. It took a while to find out that I could make my changes via the general enquiry page.
My old tumble dryer packed up before Easter and I wanted to replace it with a Miele. The trouble with Miele is that it's hard to find anyone who keeps a wide range of them in stock. They're also pricey.
Not only were RedHill Appliances able to get the tumble dryer I wanted delivered in a week, they were over £100 cheaper than the list price. They also kept me updated on the delivery time slot during the day.
Difficult to think of anything that they could have done better on this occasion so 5 stars well deserved. Bit surprised by some of the other negative feedback listed here. Seems to be people ordering Miele's have no trouble. Maybe the issues are with the other manufacturers?
